Homemade creams for beautiful eyes

The contour of your eyes , and the area around them, is often the first place wrinkles appear. Cold, dehydration, sunlight and age can cause the appearance of fine lines known as smile wrinkles, and sometimes even cause slight swelling of the tissue around the area. Below are a few ideas for creams you can make at home to treat them. 

  1. Aloe vera and grape seed oil

Grape seeds? It may surprise you, but grape seeds are the best kept secret for beautiful eyes.  Grape seed oil is an essential oil that can be found in any market. By adding it to Aloe Vera, you get a better solution than the expensive creams sold in beauty stores. 

To prepare the cream, you only need one tablespoon of aloe vera and two drops of grape seed oil and one teaspoon of royal jelly. Mix them all together and let them stand. This mixture will last a few days if you use a bit of it every night to gently massage the area around your eyes.

  1. Olive oil and cocoa powder

Cocoa powder

This is another great way to moisturize the area around your eyes and treat wrinkles.  Cocoa powder can be found in any health food store, it is cheap and it has many benefits. You only need one tablespoon; melt it and add a few drops of olive oil. This mixture should last about three days. Massage into the area to make the best use of it.

  1. Yogurt and green tea

For the days when you wake up with swollen eyes or bags under the eyes, try this treatment.  This remedy is chock full of antioxidants and moisture. Prepare a cup of green tea with half a cup of water. Add two tablespoons of white yogurt and mix well. Place in the refrigerator to cool. Apply under the eyes to treat bags and swelling.  

  1. Cucumber and Vaseline

These are two ingredients you already have in your home: cucumbers and Vaseline. They both act as moisturizers to tone and rebuild the skin so that it looks healthy. How do you use it then? Mash two cucumber slices. Using a fork, mash the cucumber into the Vaseline until you get a fine paste.  Place it in the fridge for a few minutes to cool. Use it in the morning or before bedtime for about ten minutes and you will notice a huge difference. The baggy eyes will go away and your wrinkles will be less noticeable. 

  1. Rose water and yogurt

Rose water

Rose water is easy to find. You will be able to get a good quality product that should not be too expensive in health food stores. It is generally used in various ways, and has some wonderful benefits for the eye area.  If you mix 3 drops of rose water with two tablespoons of yogurt, and smear on your eyes, you will help the blood flow in the area. It makes your skin more elastic and toned.
